Tom Manwaring

Chief Executive Officer

Before joining ETG, Tom was with Cathay Pacific Airways for 29 years. He was initially based in Australia and thereafter in Hong Kong. During this time, Tom held various senior sales, marketing and management roles, including the role of Global Tactical Marketing Manager. He returned to Australia in 2000 to take up the role of Managing Director of Orient Express Travel. In November 2003 Tom and his wife Julie, became sole proprietors of the Group. As CEO, he is working with his team to develop ETG into a major travel provider in Australia for both outbound and inbound travel.

Ari Magoutis

Executive General Manager

Prior to joining ETG in February 2010, Ari spent 7 years with Jetset Travelworld Group in senior IT roles, most recently as Group IT Manager. His responsibilities included the delivery of enterprise travel systems, and formulating and leading the retail e-commerce strategy for the group. Prior to JTG, he worked in the Finance and IT Departments of Consolidated Travel Group. Ari has a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) and Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

Quynh Giang

General Manager Commerical and Operations

Quynh joined ETG in March 1996 as Assistant Accountant after completing his Bachelor of Business Accounting . He later became Group Finance Manager, and was appointed General Manager in December 2004. Quynh’s main area of responsibility is the Express Ticketing Division. He has been responsible for the implementation of the fully automated ticketing system and is focused on developing preferred products and services for the Select Travel Group.

Jonathan Nelson

General Manager Sales

Jonathan joined the Company as State Manager - WA in January 2008 and was instrumental in establishing the Perth office.  Jonathan relocated to Victoria in 2011 to undertake the State Manager VIC/TAS role before being promoted to National Sales Manager in 2013 and then General Manager – Sales for ETG in 2015. Prior to joining ETG, he completed a B.Comm degree and held management positions in Perth with Carlson Wagonlit Travel Management and Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Duncan Adams

Financial Controller

Duncan Adams joined ETG in February 2007 as Company Accountant. He has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and has maintained the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification since 1994. Duncan has worked for national retail and wholesale businesses over the past fifteen years as an accountant and financial controller. The finance team which manages all accounting, budgeting and compliance functions for the group reports to Duncan.

Leidi Stone

Manager People and Training

Leidi has extensive Human Resources (HR) management experience across various industries such as Finance, Professional Services, Retail, Manufacturing and NFP.

Leidi comes to us with an engaging and pragmatic approach and a passion in coaching, developing capability, and delivering on value add initiatives. Her extensive learning, development and training experience will surely help ALL of us achieve our “smarter, faster and stronger” ambitions while we work within our Company Values. Her role also involves taking a hands-on and proactive approach to developing, implementing and managing HR strategy and procedures aligned to the needs of the business.

Anthony Lau

IT Manager

Anthony joined ETG in March 2005 as a contractor and was appointed IT Manager in September 2006. Anthony has over 7 years experience in enterprise level IT integration and project management. His main area of responsibility is that of managing and further developing the ETG computer systems and network infrastructure nationally, and in ensuring that future IT needs are being addressed.

Derek Morris

Regional Manager NSW/QLD

Derek Morris joined the Group as Regional Manager - NSW/QLD in January 2015, following 3 years of consulting work with China Southern Airlines. Prior to this Derek spent over 25 years with Cathay Pacific Airways, most recently as Marketing and Sales Manager Australia. Derek enjoys travelling, particularly to Hawaii, which has become an annual event.

Vito Romeo

State Manager - VIC/TAS 

Vito Romeo joined as Independent Travel Group Network Manager in March 2013 and was promoted to State Manager - VIC/TAS in May 2014. Previously he was with Creative Holidays, for six years as State Sales Manager and previoulsy worked in the travel industry in the UK. 

Katherine Chan

State Manager - QLD

Katherine commenced her career in the travel industry in 1972 with China Express Travel, Taiwan. In 1976 she joined British Airways, New Zealand. Katherine moved to Brisbane in 1979 and before joining the ETG in July 1996, held senior roles with British Airways, Jetset Travel and Holiday International. Katherine is responsible for managing the Queensland office.

Mohammad Nasiry

State Manager - NSW

Mohammad has been working in the travel industry since 2001. He previously worked at Concorde International Travel, and more recently in a senior position with Etihad Airways. He brings with him valuable consolidation and airline experience.  Mohammad is responsible for the management and growth of ETG in NSW.

Daniel James

State Manager - SA/NT

Daniel has been working in the travel industry since 1992. He previously worked at Singapore Airlines for eight years, with his last role being that of Passenger Sales Executive. Prior to Singapore Airlines, Daniel worked in many facets of the industry including consolidation, wholesale and retail. Daniel is responsible for the management and growth of ETG in South Australia

Loretta Erceg

State Manager - WA 

Loretta has been involved in the travel industry in various capacities since 1993. She most recently worked at Singapore Airlines in both ticketing and sales roles and prior to that at Concorde International Travel. She brings valuable consolidation and airline experience to the role as she takes responsiblity for the management and growth of ETG in WA.
